It doesn't seem like it, but today marks a full year since I first arrived in Japan. What a year it's been...
I'll be moving back to California next spring, and the coming of the new year means that it's already time to start making arrangements for the move. I'm gonna miss living in Japan, but the wife and are excited about "restarting" back in the states. We'll always be making frequent trips back to Japan anyways. Also, I can't wait to actually do something with my own cars again instead of just photographing and writing about other people's.
Anyways, I've uploaded some pics I took at the famous Landmark Tower in Yokohama a few weeks ago. The Landmark is the tallest building in Japan and offers a kick ass view from the observatory on the 69th floor.
The weather was cold and clear, just how a proper winter day in Japan should be, making for some nice sights. This is the view looking out on the harbor with the Yokohama Bay Bridge in the center.
Another side of the building gives a nice view of Tokyo next door. That's Tokyo Tower there in the center about 15 miles away.
Fuji-san peeking out of the afternoon haze to the east.
Another view of the harbor.
Looking out towards the Shonan area.
Theme park in Yokohama's Minatomirai21 area.
Daikoku Futo.
Looking towards Yokohama Station.
Yokohama Stadium, home of the Bay Stars.
OK that's it for now. I'll try to keep this sucker updated a lot more in '09. Happy early New Year everyone!
