Last year the Japanese came out with their own take on the "car action" genre with the movie Speed Master . The movie itself wasn't very good and it had CG racing scenes that made the Fast and the Furious look like a documentary. There were a few cool cars in the movie though, and RX7's in particular had a big part.
Now the FC3S RX7 that the main character builds and drives in the movie is now up for sale on R Magic's website. Actually, it is going to be sold by silent auction with bids being taken up until April 15th. There is over $70,000 that has been invested in the car's build up, probably making it the one of the most expensive FC builds ever.
Some of the work that went into this car includes-
Complete R-Magic aero kit with wide fenders, hood, GT wing, and aero mirrors.
Ray's GT-C wheels covering Endless brakes with 6 pot calipers up front.
The engine has gone through a full R-Magic tune and is running an HKS T04Z turbine. Other than the turbine and a few other small things, the engine features only R Magic parts. Many of them are one-off parts just for this car. Power is an impressive 520ps at 7000 rpm.
Underneath lies a an Ohlins suspension built to R Magic specs. Feeding into the R Magic built transmission is an Exedy Hyper Carbon twin plate clutch. An R Magic LSD has also been installed. Of course the interior has also been gone through with notable items including a full set of gauges by Defi.
Right now the car is not registered for road use in Japan though it may be possible with some modifications to pass the strict shaken tests that road vehicles are required to take.
I wonder how much she will end up selling for? Generally, cars like this sell for a fraction of what it cost to build them but I'm sure the movie factor helps with the car's value. Contact R-Magic with your bid, you only have until the middle of next month!
Emmmm... I dont like very much the idea...
And the cars are cool. but the cars dont run all is maked in a pc....
