I stumbled across a page that is full of custom-built Japanese classic car model kits. After looking at them I was amazed by the detail that was put into thee things. It looks like they have more time invested in them than many people put into their full-size cars. A lot of the parts were scratchbuilt or "kitbashed" combining parts from multiple kits making for some truly unique combinations. I like how they range from simple shakotan-style builds to wild boso/granchan style.

I've got many of these kits and plan to build them in a similar manner. Also have a lot of the wheels too. Most of these guys custom cast the wheels and tires which is how they're able to get the crazy widths and stretched tires.
